研究簡介:
        利用生物學與化學相結合的篩選方法,由海洋與陸地特殊棲所篩選共生於其他生物體中的微生物,發展藥用新資源,以現代層析技術配合活性篩選平台,從中發掘具有生物活性的新穎化合物,進一步以高靈敏高解析的NMR與質譜等技術完成化合物的結構解析,並與藥理學家合作,進行新先導藥物的研究開發。對具有重要生物活性的天然產物進行結構修飾,探討其結構與生物活性之關係。目前主要的研究主題包括:

1.由神農本草上品藥物中找尋長壽、美容之秘密。
2.調控海洋渦鞭毛藻Gambierdiscus spp.之生長條件,利用於量產Na+ channel activators。
3.國際合作分離-100m水深之海洋微生物、純化並確認天然物之結構,使之成為具潛力之先導藥物。
4.自特殊棲所之微生物中分離、純化並確認新穎結構之天然物,開發具生物活性之成分,使之成為具潛力之先導藥物。
5.海洋單細胞藻Prorocentrum屬與藍綠菌Lyngbya屬之具生物活性物質研究。
6.調控特殊棲所之微生物之生長條件,利用於量產特用化學成分。
