研究簡介:
  本實驗室主要在研究與篩選中草藥對抗神經退化性疾病之有效成份並探討其保護機轉為何。中草藥為我國固有之文化資產,在傳統或另類醫學裏佔有相當重要的地位;而今,中草藥無論對於臨床醫學、基礎研究、及生物科技等事業而言皆是一全新且極具開發潛力之領域。
  另一方面 ,近年來中樞神經退化性疾病,如巴金森氏 症、漢丁頓氏症或是藥物濫用所引發的神經傷害等,有增加的趨勢,然而相關有效之治療藥物卻附之闕如。因此本實驗室希望從中草藥篩選並萃取出有效的成份用以治療相關之神經退化性疾病。所以目前實驗室已建立如巴金森氏症、漢丁頓氏症、缺血/缺氧、及濫用性藥物所引發之神經毒性的各式細胞膜型作為篩選之用。
