In accordance with the “Organizational Act of the National Research Institute of Chinese Medicine, Ministry of Health and Welfare(hereinafter referred to as “the Institute”),” the Institute shall be appointed a Director, a Deputy Director, a Chief Secretary, 20 to 30 Research Fellows and Associate Research Fellows and 18 to 24 Assistant Research Fellows. The Institute established the Division of Basic Chinese Medicine. Division of Clinical Chinese Medicine, Division of Chinese Medicinal Chemistry, Division of Chinese Materia Medica Development, and Division of Chinese Medicine Literature and Informatics. The Institute also established a Secretary Office, Personnel Office, and Accounting Office which manage general affairs. The Institute current faculty within the organization include 23 Research Fellows (9 Research Fellows, 9 Associate Research Fellows, and 5 Assistant Research Fellows) and 14 administrative faculties (6 Civil Services and 8 Contract Employees) and total 38 persons.
