Specialty:
- Multiomics research platform for herbal medicine as an adjuvant in cancer drug resistance
- Research platform for herbal medicine in experimental cancer animal models
- Study on the correlation between tumor microenvironment and herbal medicine application in tumor organoid models
- Precision medicine using liquid biopsy in patients treated with herbal medicine
Research Description:
This laboratory focuses on three major challenges: cancer drug resistance, immune escape, and treatment response monitoring. Through the integration of multiomics, animal models, and liquid biopsy technologies, we explore mechanisms and develop clinical translational applications.
- Mechanisms of herbal medicine in cancer drug resistance and metastasis: Combining multiomics analysis and cancer animal platforms to investigate the role of herbal medicines or natural products in tumor drug resistance and metastasis, clarifying the key roles of exosomes and tumor microenvironment remodeling.
- Impact on immunotherapy for non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC): Investigating the regulatory mechanisms of Scutellaria baicalensis (Huang Qin), oxidative proteins, and signaling on PD-L1 expression, evaluating their role in modulating sensitivity to immune checkpoint inhibitors, and developing potential molecular biomarkers.
- Liquid biopsy application in Yttrium-90 (Y-90) radioembolization: Establishing a detection platform for exosomes and circulating cell-free DNA (cfDNA) to monitor recurrence risk in patients with hepatobiliary malignancies undergoing Y-90 radioembolization. We aim to develop early prognostic and treatment decision indicators, integrating this experience into the application of precision Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM).
